Parent & Family Compact 26-27

Each school that receives Title I, Part A funding must work together with parents to create a School-Parent Compact, which is a written agreement explaining how the school, parents, and students will share the responsibility for supporting student learning and helping every child succeed. As part of the school’s Parent and Family Engagement Plan, the compact outlines what the school will do to support learning, what parents can do at home, how students will take responsibility for their own learning, and how families and the school will partner to help children meet the state’s academic standards. The goal of the compact is to ensure that everyone understands their role in helping students achieve their best.

Commitment From Our School

Provide high-quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment that enables the participating children to meet the State’s challenging State academic standards.

Montlieu Academy of Technology will hire highly qualified teachers to deliver quality curriculum and instruction to all scholars. We will provide teachers with Professional Development opportunities throughout the school year, which will enhance their skills and knowledge. Various instructional strategies and materials will be used to meet the diverse learning needs of all scholars. Through Professional Learning Communities, teachers will receive collaborative curriculum planning days, along with weekly data conversations and analysis.

Hold parent-teacher conferences (at least annually in elementary schools) during which this compact will be discussed as it relates to the individual child’s achievement.

Provide parents with frequent reports on their children’s progress.

Provide parents with reasonable access to staff.

Provide parents with opportunities to volunteer and participate in their child’s class, and to observe classroom activities.

Montlieu parents may visit classrooms by appointment. There is also an opportunity to join our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and attend meetings. Our school website and social media platforms will provide information to parents who wish to participate in school events.
